For a fifth year, members of the Sacred Heart High School National Honor Society recently participated in the National Education Association “Read Across America Day” with a visit to the Maloney Interdistrict Magnet School in Waterbury.

The National Education Association has been building a nation of readers through its signature program, “Read Across America”. Now in its 20th year, this program focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources. The following Sacred Heart High School students joined, Mrs. Sharell Herbert, a member of the English Department, and moderator of the National Honor Society:  Nellie Drewry, Alexa Gallino, James Edwards, Collen Flanagan, Jenna Madigan, Thomas Greene, Alexa Murphy, Melissa Raymond, and Abigail Monroe, all seniors at Sacred Heart High School.
