Hannah Dombroski daughter of Kevin and Nancy Dombroski of Waterbury, has been named Salutatorian of the Class of 2019 at Sacred Heart High School, by Mrs. Eileen M. Regan, President and Mr. Anthony Azzara, Principal.
Hannah has certainly left her mark on the Heart’s school community where she achieved high honors all 4 years! She holds the highest average in Calculus, U. S. History, Language and Composition, Pre-Calculus, Physics, and Biology.
Hannah was the recipient of the University of Connecticut Presidential Scholarship, the Thrall Scholarship, the Harvard Book Award, was chosen as a Summa Scholar, a “Class of 2019 Super Senior”, and a CIAC Scholar Athlete.
During her four years at Sacred Heart High School she was involved in many extracurricular activities, clubs, and athletic teams. Hannah was a member of the National Honor Society, the International Club, the Forum, the Art Club, a member of the Heart’s Tennis team for 3 years, and the Softball Team as a freshman. She also volunteered at many organizations including the St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen, the Blessed Sacrament/Catholic Academy Children’s Theater and Lego Club, and also served as a peer tutor. She is a graduate of Blessed Sacrament School and a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish.
Hannah is the recipient of the Regents Scholarship from the University of Hartford where she will attend this fall to pursue a double major in Mathematics and Actuarial Science. Hannah’s future includes working as an Actuary.
