Sacred Heart High School, under the leadership of Chaplain, Father Mauricio Galvis, and faculty member, Sister Frances Zajac, F.S.E., embarked on a pilgrimage with students to Washington D.C. for the 45th Annual March for Life Rally on January 19th. The day included a 7:30 a.m. Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception followed by marching in the Pro-life rally. The Heart joined a larger contingent from the Archdiocese of Hartford marching with them along the route to the Supreme Court building.
The weather was perfect, the speakers poignant and inspirational, and the “Love Saves Lives” message kept the focus on the positive effect of loving compassion’s power to help women choose life for their unborn babies.
